Birthday card for a Crafty Friend

This is another card made using the fab Glitter Girls board Once Upon  A Time.  I made it for a very special crafty friend of mine its her Birthday today. I have used foiled , glittered and embossed cardstocks in  various tones of pink and purple. The card has been embellished using lots of pretty flowers, a large and small die cut butterfly (using the spellbinders dies) clear gemstones and some gorgeous spotted organza ribbon.

My 15 mins of fame

This is the matching box for the card
This was when Nigel May was reading out the Glitter Girls Story written by me

This card was made to commemorate The Glitter Girls 50th board and featured a story written by me. I presented this to them at a retail show in Alexandre Palace. Kathy and Babs loved it so much that they took it on TV with them. It was show on Create and Craft on Thursday 19th April 2012 (9am hour) I was also called by them from the TV studio and spoke live on air for 10 mins. This card took more than 2 hours to make not including the box. It featured glittered, foiled and embossed cardstocks in shades of pink and purple. it was embellished with organza ribbon, butterfly diecuts, paper roses, babies breath and clear gemstones.

Perfect for a teenage girl

I loved creating all these little make up pieces from scraps of card in true girlie colours. This was a commision for a 14 year old but think it would be suitable for any lady who loves her make up.

Spellbinding dies

I am addicted to my Spellbinders dies and spend many happy hours creating cards using them. I especially enjoy designing ones that are all based around one colour or tone. I have also used the fab coloured glue from creative expressions.

I am back!!!!!!!!!

I am finally back it has been such a long time! My life has been a mass of doctors, dentists and Hospital appointments for the last 6 months. Have my last hospital appointment ( I hope) today. I have still been making commisions for people where I could fit them in. As well as some lovely creations for my own personal use. I was lucky enough to win a place on the CREATE AND CRAFT Hayling Island break. A 3 day craft weekend. I took a friend we had a blast and made some fab creations as well as came home with mountains of freebies. I am going to spend this evening uploading all my latest creations.
